Instagram Link Grabber (Chrome extension) — last updated August 7, 2026
Short version: the Instagram links you collect stay on your device — they are never uploaded anywhere. A small account system (email + subscription status only) exists separately to run the 5-day free trial and paid lifetime access; it never sees your captured links or your Instagram browsing.
Instagram links you collect
While automatic capture is enabled and you browse Instagram, the extension reads links visible in the Instagram page and keeps URLs matching Instagram posts and reels. These URLs, their type, shortcode, source page, and capture time are stored using Chrome's local extension storage on your device only. They are never sent to our server or any third party, and there is no analytics or advertising tracker reading them.
Account, sign-in, and subscription
Using the extension past the 5-day free trial requires an account, which involves a small backend server separate from the link-collection feature above:

None of this account data is shared, sold, or used for advertising. It exists solely to run the trial/subscription gate.
Payment processors
International payments are processed by PayPal on their own checkout page — your card details are entered directly into PayPal and never pass through our server or the extension. Pakistan-based users instead see our bank account details and send a payment screenshot via WhatsApp for manual verification; that screenshot is exchanged over WhatsApp directly with us, not through the extension.
Google sign-in is handled by Google's own OAuth system (Google's privacy policy) — we only receive the email/profile info Google shares after you approve it.
Your controls
- Pause automatic capture at any time.
- Delete individual or selected links, or clear the complete local library — entirely on your device.
- Export matching links to a CSV file.
- Log out at any time from the extension's account menu.
- Request deletion of your account and all associated server-side data by emailing us (below) — we'll remove it.
Permissions
storage keeps your local link library and settings. contextMenus adds the right-click entry on Instagram to open your library. identity is used only for the optional "Continue with Google" sign-in. Instagram host access lets the extension find post/reel links on pages you open; our own backend's host access lets the extension check trial/subscription status and load the checkout page.
